MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

Detailed imaging using magnetic fields, no radiation.

Definition

MRI uses powerful magnets and radio waves to produce cross-sectional images of soft tissue — brain, spine, joints, and organs. No ionising radiation. Scans take 20-60 minutes and require lying still in an enclosed tube.
