Anaemia

Low red blood cell count or haemoglobin.

Definition

Anaemia means reduced oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. Most common cause globally is iron deficiency, often from blood loss or poor absorption. Symptoms include fatigue, pallor, breathlessness, and palpitations.
